Liverpool stumbled in the first match of the new season

 


Liverpool stumbled in their first match of the new season of the English Premier League.  League newcomers Fulham held Liverpool 2-2 at home.

Fulham captain Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice for Liverpool in the match, but the Reds' new striker Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah equalized twice.  Jurgen Klopp's team started the season with 1 point.

Fulham put Liverpool under pressure from the start in their own half.  At the end of the 32nd minute of the match, the hosts went ahead with the goal of the captain Aleksandar Mitrovic.  No one could score in the first half.

However, in the 64th minute of the second half, Liverpool equalized with the goal of Nunez, the most expensive player in the history of the club.  Then in the 72nd minute, the host Fulham went ahead in the match again.  But in the 80th minute, when Salah sent the ball into the net from a tangle in the box, Marco Silver Fulham had to lose the lead for the second time in the match.  In the end the match ended in sharing of points.
