AC Milan in the quarter-finals after 11 years

 

Italian giant AC Milan reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.  Last night they secured the quarter-finals with a draw against Tottenham.

Hosts AC Milan won the first leg in Milan 1-0.  That goal sent AC Milan into the quarter-finals.  Neither team could score in the second leg.

The second leg match at Tottenham ended in a draw.  As a result, they advanced to the quarter-finals by leading the aggregate of 1-0 goals in the two legs.

 Milan last reached the quarter-finals in the 2011/12 season.  After 11 long years, they reached the quarter finals.
